Job Summary
Double Take Thrift Store is a Yonge Street Mission social enterprise that works to support the community through circular fashion. The store collects donations and processes each piece with an effort to both raise money for YSM programs while keeping textile waste out of landfills. Higher value items are sold online while more affordable goods make sustainable fashion accessible to more people through our bricks and mortar shop at Parliament and Gerrard. Textiles that cant be sold as-is are reimagined into upcycled fashions and used for lending workshops. Our team of staff and volunteers work to make sure we are making the most of every donation to make a positive impact on our community!
Double Take is seeking a part-time temporary Marketing Coordinator (Fashion Marketing Assistant) (8 weeks for 35 hours a week). The Marketing Coordinator will work with our Marketing Team to promote the business. If you are interested in using your fashion marketing skills for good this position might be for you!

Responsibilities:
- Researching planning and creating content for social media platforms
- Taking photos and videos for content
- Assisting with implementation of outreach strategy to connect with local influencers and manage relationships with fashion bloggers and other organizations
- Working on campaigns and initiatives
- Archiving existing and new content like - emails photos videos etc.
- Answering Instagram and Facebook messages and redirecting inquiries to relevant staff members
- Posting donation callouts for product categories as required by the store
- Drafting online newsletters for mailing lists
- Drafting product descriptions and uploading products to our online store
- Assisting with fulfilling online orders
- Performing market research with customers and target market
- Assisting in retail operations of the store and Pop-Up Markets
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Design & Photography skills
- Strong eye for design
- Understanding of online marketing SEO dynamic keywords Facebook ads & analytics
- Highly organized and detail-focused
- Takes initiative on tasks and creative assignments
- Experience or interest in using Instagram Facebook YouTube Pinterest and Mailchimp for business
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passionate about sustainability in the fashion industry
- Knowledgeable about Canadian and international retail brands
- Customer service experience an asset
