The Supply Chain and Admin Operations Assistant serve as the operational backbone for large-scale program implementation. This role provides essential administrative logistical and technical support requiring a consistent and proactive presence during major field activities to ensure that supply chain workflows translate into high-quality real-world results.
The role supports procurement documentation office and facility management inventory and asset control fleet and logistics operations and staff travel and event coordination. The position contributes to the smooth and efficient functioning of organizational operations by ensuring compliance with established policies maintaining accurate records and providing responsive support to staff needs.
Requirements
Essential skills knowledge or experience
- Minimum of 13 years of experience in administrative logistics or procurement support functions.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes documentation and vendor coordination.
- Working knowledge of office operations facilities management and travel coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
- High level of integrity confidentiality and reliability.
Desirable skills knowledge or experience
- Experience working in non-profit humanitarian or development organizations.
- Familiarity with donor-funded procurement and travel policies.
- Exposure to inventory management logistics or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of event coordination and facility management systems.
- Experience with ERP systems or procurement software.
- Basic understanding of occupational safety and security practices.
Required education and qualifications (certifications licenses accreditations etc.)
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management Logistics or a related field (required).
- Diploma or certificate in procurement administration or logistics (an advantage).
