Ko ake mahi - What youll do

As a Project Manager with Te Aho o Te Kahu Cancer Control Agency youll play a vital role in leading cancer care initiatives that make a genuine impact for communities across our South Island region and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Youll bring structure pace and partnership to an allofsystem approach - working alongside managers clinicians communities Māori cancer leadership groups and providers as well as our sector partners to codesign and deliver changes that improve equity care and outcomes for people affected by cancer.

If you are solution focussed with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for making a difference in cancer care and outcomes this is work that you will want to be part of.

  • Lead delivery of local regional and national initiatives - planning sequencing and driving execution while generating clear insights to inform prioritisation and decisionmaking.

  • Own the endtoend project lifecycle - from scoping and planning through budgeting scheduling design development and implementationwith disciplined reporting and visibility of progress.

  • Proactively manage delivery risks - surfacing risks issues and dependencies early and putting in place practical mitigations and recovery actions to keep work on track.

  • Partner widely to codesign and codeliver - build strong positive relationships across Te Aho o Te Kahu the Ministry of Health clinicians the wider health sector government partners and communities including active engagement with regional Māori cancer leadership groups

Ko pūkenga - What youll bring

  • Relevant tertiary and or health qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience with a demonstrated track record delivering multiple projects in fastmoving environments. Knowledge and/or background in cancer care is highly regarded.

  • Confidently navigate the health sector applying strong endtoend project management skills to complex systemlevel work.

  • Communicate and organise with impactable to translate information into clear plainlanguage messages and keep work structured and flowing.

  • Build strong trusting relationships across diverse stakeholders and lead crossfunctional teams with ease and professionalism.
