Job purpose:
The Operations Consultant is responsible for managing all aspects of post-sale travel bookings ensuring a seamless experience for customers from the time of confirmation to post-travel follow-up. This role involves handling booking inquiries liaising with suppliers processing changes or special requests and proactively resolving issues to maintain exceptional customer satisfaction.
What will be your key responsibilities
- Manage confirmed travel bookings for Tailormade and Cruise itineraries ensuring all components are accurately secured and documented.
- Coordinate with suppliers airlines and partners to confirm services process amendments and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor booking timelines to ensure timely ticketing payments and compliance with supplier requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete booking records within company reservation systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact via phone & email for clients from post-sale confirmation through completion of travel.
- Handle phone & email booking inquiries modifications cancellations and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide proactive updates regarding itinerary changes travel advisories and operational adjustments.
- Manage on-tour disruptions or emergencies in coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve post-travel feedback or service concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Track booking amendments supplier performance and customer satisfaction trends.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
What are we looking for
- 2-3 years experience in travel operations customer service or booking management (preferably in tailor-made or luxury travel).
- Strong knowledge of travel booking systems (e.g. GDS CRM supplier portals Perseus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to manage multiple bookings and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling booking data.
