Job Summary
Job Description: Billing & Coding Specialist
Organization: Dollars For Scholars
Job Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate codes for billing purposes
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify information and resolve any discrepancies
- coded claims to insurance companies and government agencies for reimbursement
- Process billing statements invoices and payments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper coding and billing procedures
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a certified coding program or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: $120000 - $130000 per year
