About the Role
The Science Technician will provide practical and technical support for Science lessons ensuring safe and effective laboratory and classroom environments. You will work closely with teaching staff to facilitate high-quality practical learning experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing and setting up practical experiments and resources
Maintaining laboratory equipment and chemicals
Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Managing stock and ordering laboratory supplies
Assisting with displays science fairs and department events
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar practical role
Knowledge of laboratory equipment chemicals and safety procedures
Strong organisational and communication skills
Reliable proactive and able to work independently
Experience in a school setting desirable but not essential
