About the Role

The Caretaker will ensure that the school site is safe clean and operational. You will work closely with the Site Manager and facilities team to maintain a secure and welcoming learning environment for staff and students.

Key responsibilities include:

Opening and closing the school premises
Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs
Supporting health and safety compliance checks
Assisting with setting up rooms for lessons events and examinations
Monitoring site security and reporting issues
Liaising with contractors and suppliers when required

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in caretaking maintenance or facilities
Basic DIY and repair skills
Awareness of health and safety procedures
Reliable punctual and proactive
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
