A prestigious and historic school in Canterbury is searching for a School Caretaker to join their facilities team. This role requires a blend of traditional caretaking values and a modern approach to health and safety and site management.

Contract: Full-time Permanent
Requirement: Prior experience in a school or public building setting is desirable.
Detailed Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Managing the complex needs of a mixed-age site. You will ensure the heating water and electrical systems are functioning perfectly maintaining a safe and comfortable atmosphere for all.
Security & Key Holding: Guarding the integrity of the school site. You will be responsible for security patrols key management and liaising with emergency services or security contractors if necessary.
Maintenance & Improvement: We promote a culture of high standards. You will be expected to carry out high-quality repairs and work with the premises team on long-term capital projects to modernize the schools facilities.
Waste & Environment: Overseeing all site hygiene and waste disposal. Youll ensure the school grounds remain an Outstanding reflection of the schools reputation through proactive management of all external areas.
