The Role: An Outstanding rated school in Crewe is looking for an experienced Caretaker to take ownership of its facilities management. This is a key-holder position that demands high levels of responsibility and a deep understanding of school safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Safeguarding: Ensuring all external gates and internal access points are secure managing visitor logs and ensuring the safety of the school perimeter.
Technical Repairs: Utilizing a background in a skilled trade (plumbing carpentry or electrical) to resolve day-to-day maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
Regulatory Compliance: Keeping the schools health and safety folder up to date ensuring all documentation is ready for local authority or Ofsted inspections.
Event Support: Facilitating the smooth running of school performances and parent evenings by managing seating layouts and lighting requirements.
