Job Summary
Education Requirements:
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
* Current Minnesota RN licensure.
* Current BLS certification.
* Based upon the unit in which you are applying additional certification(s) may be required. Department specific required qualifications need to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
* Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification required or obtained during orientation.

When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.

Position Summary
Coordinates and provides family-centered nursing care to infants children and adolescents utilizing the nursing process. Accountable for professional practice including independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions performed in collaboration with other health team members.

Department Overview
Our St. Paul 6th floor is a 26-bed pediatric medical/surgical unit that cares for a spectrum of children from infants to young adults suffering from both acute and chronic medical conditions. Our team of dedicated professionals specializes in the care of patients with diabetes respiratory conditions and surgical post-operative care with a specialty in urological surgery. We also provide medical stabilization to children with eating disorders through the Center for the Treatment of Eating Disorders within our 6th floor unit. Our patients have an average length of stay ranging from days to several weeks for a specialty diagnosis. Patients are cared for by strong inter-disciplinary teams that include child life social work integrative medicine dietitians case managers and other specialists. We rely on teamwork with open and respectful communication and promote an environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Our team is committed to providing excellent care to our patients and families.
