OB/GYN Registered Nurse
Location: IHS Facility in Shiprock NM

Pay Rate: $66 per hour plus $1246 per week for travel stipends
Schedule: 7:00 AM/PM to 7:30 PM/AM 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the other week.

Contract Length: 6 months with the option to extend

Benefits: $5.09 per hour for Health and Welfare 10 days PTO Accrued sick days and 11 Paid Holidays.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Registered Nurse to join a high-impact inpatient team at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility in Shiprock NM. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care in a fast-paced mission-driven environment serving diverse and underserved communities.
Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN nursing experience

• Active unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state or territory)

• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS (AHA)

  • NRP (AAP)

  • Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN)

• Strong clinical skills in labor & delivery postpartum and newborn care

• Valid Drivers license

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive care in Labor & Delivery Postpartum and Newborn units
Perform patient admission assessment and continuous fetal monitoring
Manage high-risk obstetric conditions (e.g. preeclampsia fetal distress hemorrhage)
Administer medications including oxytocin magnesium sulfate TXA and blood products
Assist in labor delivery cesarean sections and recovery care
Provide immediate newborn care including resuscitation when required
Deliver postpartum couplet care including maternal recovery and newborn assessments
Support Level I & Level II newborn care including stabilization for transfer if needed
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
