Job Description
A growing and sustainability-focused business based in Brough is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on finance professional to join a supportive team within a nationally operating organisation that is part of a larger international energy group. Reporting to the senior finance team the Accounts Assistant will:
- Manage the purchase ledger process end-to-end ensuring invoices are accurately posted and authorised in a timely manner.
- Handle supplier queries professionally and efficiently maintaining strong working relationships.
- Manage incoming finance-related calls and internal queries.
- Support payment runs reconciliations and general transactional finance processes.
- Work closely with operational and administrative departments to ensure accurate financial processing.
- Assist with ad-hoc finance tasks and provide wider support to the finance team as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role.
- Demonstrate strong purchase ledger knowledge and attention to detail.
- Possess a proactive can-do mindset with the confidence to question and improve processes.
- Be organised reliable and capable of managing their own workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively across departments.
- Be keen to develop further with study support available for the right individual.

This position is based in Brough and is commutable from Hull Beverley North Cave South Cave Goole and the surrounding areas.
