As a Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in Petersburg VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support access control and incident reporting. You will communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors respond to requests with a customer-first mindset and contribute to an agile reliable innovative operation built on teamwork and integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a tech and/or telecom location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions taken per site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office data center and/or campus areas including interior spaces loading docks and building perimeters as assigned.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity during patrols assisting with badge checks delivery coordination and reporting irregular conditions to site contacts.
• Complete security-related reports and communicate with supervisors and/or site management regarding hazards maintenance concerns and operational issues observed during rounds.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
