Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Advisory Committee Lead for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Develop and revise as needed school wide guidelines for conducting and reporting on all activities relating to advisory committee meetings.
- Ensure that individual committee membership meets the guidelines established in the DESE guidelines and to assist staff in the recruitment of new members.
- Ensure committee member representation at and participation in advisory committee meetings.
- Work with staff as needed to create an effective advisory committee via consultation assessment and recommendations.
- Ensure that each advisory committee develops a five-year plan consisting of short- and long-term goals addressing both instructional/curriculum and instructional/equipment needs and review same with the Superintendent.
- Coordinate/facilitate at a minimum two (2) General Advisory Committee meetings per academic year one (1) of which will be scheduled in joint session with the Minuteman School Committee.
- Mentor new staff as well as new committee members on the roles and responsibilities of advisory committees.
- Prepare quarterly performance reports regarding the activities and recommendations of all advisory committees and report same to the Director of Career and Technical Education.
- Coordinate with the Director of Career and Technical Education to plan meeting agendas and meet with the Chair of the General Advisory Board.
- Prepare documents such as the Programmatic Review Meeting Agenda Meeting Minute Forms.
- Post all Advisory Board supporting documents to the school website prior to end of the fiscal school year.
- Take meeting minutes for GAB committee meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Chapter 74/Educational Licensure
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1 2026 June 30 2027).
Supervisor:- Director of Career and Technical Education.
Compensation:- The stipend for this position is $6493.
