Job Summary

Wheaton Bible Church (WBC) is a dynamic thriving multiethnic church community seeking to live out our mission to Love God Love One Another Love our Neighbors and Love the Nations in the Chicago suburbs and globally with our 90 sent missionaries and indigenous partners. We currently hold worship services in both English and Spanish while providing space care and leadership coaching for 5 additional ethnic language fellowship groups. Additionally we serve our local community through West Chicagos largest social service provider Puente de Pueblo by providing case management services for families adult literacy programming and after-school programming for children and youth.

We are seeking a Part-Time Social Media Specialist for approximately 25 hours per week to collaborate with the Director of Communication to plan create and manage engaging content across our social media platforms. This role helps communicate our mission events and stories in a compelling and consistent way strengthening connection and engagement within our community and beyond.

Candidates must be able to be active participants in the life of Wheaton Bible Church.

Requirements

2-3 years experience managing a church/business social media account.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Must be fully bi-lingual in Spanish and English including written grammatical competence in both languages.
Strong interpersonal skills; team player.
A multimedia artist competent with taking photos capturing and editing video and creating graphics independently. Comfortable using programs like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
Ability to work independently
Analytical and able to interpret social media analytics.
Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
Willing to fully participate as an active member of Wheaton Bible Church.

Schedule Requirements

Sundays are required.
Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events to content capture.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
Regular use of computer phone and other office equipment.
Ability to stand and move about during events for extended periods of time.
