Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified STEM Advisor for the school year. The STEM Advisor must have prior experience working in a STEM related environment including the use of all hand tools power tools and is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Recruit members from various STEM programs (or any program) at Minuteman to participate in the club.
- Present the value of Minutemans STEM programs at District outreach events.
- Meet with Minutemans business partners in the STEM field and recruit mentors for the students participating in the club.
- Provide networking and STEM panel opportunities.
- Manage any fundraising opportunities grants or budgets and set up appropriate accounts in accordance with the business office and following any state protocol.
- Collaborate with other identified staff in creating a girls in STEM camp.
- Coordinate and plan field trips for students in the STEM Club to attend.
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Excellent communication skills.
- Prior experience with establishing STEM and robotics teams to compete at the high school level.
- Ability to quickly establish rapport with students parents and staff.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1 2026 June 30 2027).
Supervisor:- Director of Career and Technical Education.
Compensation:- The stipend for this position is $5194.
