Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Yearbook Advisor for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Coordinate annual publication of the yearbook.
- Establish dates times and places of events for administration approval and placement on the school calendar.
- Coordinate the sales of yearbook.
- Supervise all yearbook meetings and advise their proceedings to site administrator.
- Utilize online graphics software for editing and organizing photographs.
- Abide by all copyright policies and laws.
- Manage student yearbook activities to make sure all publication deadlines are met.
- Take all responsible precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment materials and facilities.
- Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries.
- Attend training as needed.
- Comply with applicable district state local and federal laws rules and regulations.
- Evaluates and selects a yearbook vendor.
- Works closely with the vendor to ensure a quality product and to meet publication deadlines.
- Develops a budget and an outline of activities with an appropriate administrator.
- Ensures that the program is self-sustaining except for financial support authorized by the district.
- Requisitions program supplies and equipment.
- Upholds district policies and follows administrative procedures.
- Promotes a favorable image of the school district.
- Coordinates coverage of activities with the school calendar.
- Promotes the proper use and care of school property and equipment.
- Develop a distinctive yearbook format.
- Creates and involves students when appropriate in the development of layout picture/artwork selection writing styles etc.
- Ensures that yearbook content is accurate and appropriate.
- Supervises the sale of advertising.
- Supervises approved fund-raising projects.
- Ensures that all financial activities are processed through the proper student activity account.
- Oversees security and distribution procedures.
- Provides guidance communicates high expectations and encourages student involvement through projects.
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Exhibit professional demeanor.
- Display enthusiasm strong interpersonal skills and relate well with students staff administration parents and the community.
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing using proper grammar and vocabulary.
- Utilize organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Develop short-term and long-term goals.
- Use technology for word processing data management and telecommunications.
- Exercise appropriate discretion concerning students staff and confidential information.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1 2026 June 30 2027).
Supervisor:Compensation:- The stipend for this position is $7874.
