As Head of China ERP Solution & Delivery (Senior Business Partner)you will serve as a keystrategic liaison and a primary communication channel between the dedicated business function(e.g. affiliate site) and the RDT organization. This role is critical in ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business needs and responsible for co-creating and managing the technology strategy and portfolio to drive business outcomes.
The Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor orchestrating cross-functional delivery teams and owning the budget for the area of responsibility.
This role also involves nurturing talent managing teams and driving a culture of high performanceand continuous improvement within IT.
Description of the area
This individual contributor role includes leading an ERP expertise squad in China. This squad manages ERP partnership accountability with local stakeholders from Finance to Supply Chain and across Pharma and Diagnostics in China. Meanwhile other key responsibilities include maintaining a close connection with the global ERP organization to ensure an in-depth understanding of local requirements and business process changes. This role will drive timely high-quality delivery on the Roche global template and manage fit-for-purpose local solutions where necessary in China that supplement the Global solutions under local ownership.
Also acting as a key strategic liaison this position serves as the primary communication channel between the dedicated business function and the RDT organization. It is critical for ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs and is responsible for co-creating and managing the technology strategy and portfolio to drive business outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
Act as a trusted partner and advisor to business leaders to understand their goals and align RDT strategies to achieve them.
Advocate for the business needs within the RDT organization while ensuring IT capabilities and solutions are articulated effectively to business stakeholders.
Delivery Accountability
Oversee the planning prioritization execution and successful delivery of technology projects that meet business objectives
Maintain accountability for program and project delivery outcomes ensuring adherence to scope budget timeline and quality standards.
Manage changes to project scope and escalate project risks and challenges proactively.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment of IT services with business values.
People Leadership
Build and nurture IT talent by fostering a culture that encourages innovation professional development and teamwork.
Lead a multidisciplinary team providing clear direction coaching and performance management to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to share insights align strategies and maximize the impact of technology investments.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Administration or related field.
Advanced degree (e.g. MBA Masters in Technology Management) is preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Proven expertise in managing Global ERP Templates with the technical acumen to design and govern localized Side-by-Side or Fit-to-Standard solutions that maintain core integrity while meeting China-specific regulatory and business requirements.
Strategic mastery of end-to-end business process integration (Order-to-Cash Procure-to-Pay etc.) and a deep understanding of how local China digital ecosystems (e.g. Golden Tax local logistics providers) integrate with a global ERP backbone
Deep understanding of Chinas Cybersecurity and Data Privacy laws (PIPL/DSL) and their impact on ERP architecture specifically regarding data residency and cross-border data transfer protocols.
Proven experience in IT strategic planning business relationship management and program delivery.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and agile methodologies.
Leadership Skills:
10 years of Leadership experience and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders build consensus and drive decision-making at all levels of an organization.
Strong team management and leadership capabilities with experience directing multidisciplinary teams and third-party vendors.
Exceptional communication negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to address complex technical and business challenges effectively.
Strategic thinking with a problem-solving mindset capable of balancing short-term needs with long-term objectives.
