Job Description
As a Security Officer - Researh Facilityin Novi MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help reduce incidents support access control and/or badge checks and report security-related observations with clear communication. You will use professionalism teamwork and integrity to assist employees and visitors while working for a company that is agile reliable innovative and people first.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an aero and defense location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and actions taken.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter points helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Control access through designated entry points by checking identification and/or credentials maintaining visitor logs and directing individuals to authorized areas.
- Monitor site conditions and security-related systems such as cameras and alarms reporting maintenance issues hazards and/or unusual activity through established communication channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
