Job Summary and Responsibilities

Position Location: Phoenix AZ

Position: Biostatistician II

Job Duties:

  1. Collaborate with investigators to design research studies define hypotheses and provide expertise on study design statistical models and methodological approaches.
  2. Develop and document data management procedures oversee database programming and structure and ensure data integrity throughout the research lifecycle.
  3. Create and implement statistical analysis plans conduct advanced statistical analyses and interpret findings for clinical or biomedical research studies.
  4. Coordinate biostatistical and bioinformatics efforts providing oversight to maintain analytical consistency and support cross-functional research objectives.
  5. Contribute to reports publications and presentations translating statistical methods and results into clear conclusions for diverse scientific and non-scientific audiences.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • PhD in Biostatistics Statistics or closely related. Employer will accept foreign equivalent degree if in the same field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 36 months in job offered Lecturer Assistant Professor Postdoc Researcher or closely related.

Special skills requirements:

  1. Ability to present complex statistical concepts clearly through talks internal seminars and instructional sessions.
  2. Experience leading training on imputation and predictive accuracy methods.
  3. Experience in publishing peer-reviewed research on statistical methodologies for time-to-event data.
  4. Experience developing custom R functions for novel statistical methods and data analysis workflows; experienced with methods for handling missing data.
  5. Experience responding to complex statistical issues in a variety of clinical and translational research settings.
  6. Able to analyze survival data with right-censoring and incomplete observations
  7. Experience designing executing and reporting statistical research studies including analysis plan development application of appropriate methods and results interpretation.
