Tax Manager - Manager is primarily responsible for the planning of engagement(s) managing client accounts gathering validating and evaluating client information generating Income Tax Accounting and assuring quality. Serve as a point of contact for the engagement(s). Also act as a counsellor for Assistant Manager.

Your key responsibilities

Responsible for Income tax accounting as per ASC 740 and relevant accounting standards as part of the overall US GAAP provisioning.
In depth understanding of the GAAP to STAT and STAT to tax walk. With further analytical bend towards tax adjustments required based on the US GAAP rules.
Meet the client deliverables as per the scope of the work and deadlines set and maintain quality of all deliverables.
Understanding of for supporting all aspects of income tax accounting and forecasting for Recognized and Unrecognized Tax Benefits (income tax reserves) under ASC 740-10 formerly FIN48 Valuation allowance Cash tax movements and analysis of the entries to be posted.
Meet the client deliverables as per the scope of the work and deadlines set and maintain quality of all deliverables.
Adheres to practice protocols and other internal processes consistently
Managing client engagements including staffing and engagement economics
Focus on establishing relationships with the client personnel (internal / external) at the appropriate level while consistently delivering exceptional client service.
Strong analytical interpersonal written / verbal communication skills as well as strong problem -solving ability attention to detail.

To qualify for the role you must have

A bachelors degree / M.B.A in Accounting Finance Business or a related discipline.
Certified Enrolled agent or CPA
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience working in US Tax Accounting and ASC 740
Experience in U.S. Tax accounting

Ideally youll also have

Awareness of other taxes in the US
Ability to read interpret and apply the tax legislation
