Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Pediatrics
Location: Greenville SC
Position Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts (Night Shift)
Shift Time: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $62.61
Total Weekly Gross: $2253.96
Weekly Stipend: $1245.96
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Pediatrics for a 13-week night shift contract in Greenville SC. This role involves providing advanced respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a childrens hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to respond effectively in high-acuity environments.
Responsibilities
Assess treat and manage pediatric and neonatal patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
Administer oxygen therapy aerosol medications and inhalation treatments.
Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators; adjust settings per physician orders and patient condition.
Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and pulmonary function testing.
Assist with intubation and advanced airway management.
Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue events.
Provide respiratory care support in ICU ER NICU and other critical care areas as needed.
Deliver chest physiotherapy and airway clearance therapies.
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments equipment and disease management.
Document all treatments and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Maintain respiratory equipment and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary team members.
Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Current state licensure (South Carolina or compact eligibility if applicable).
BLS required; PALS and/or NRP preferred.
Pediatric and/or NICU experience strongly preferred.
Experience in critical care and ventilator management required.
