Job Summary

Position Overview

As a Mental Health Therapist you will provide individual group and/or family therapy services to clients experiencing a wide range of emotional behavioral and psychological concerns. You will conduct clinical assessments develop personalized treatment plans and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in accordance with professional standards and state regulations.

This role is ideal for a licensed therapist who values autonomy clinical excellence and the opportunity to make a real difference in underserved and diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual group and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop implement and update individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed
  • Support crisis intervention and risk assessment when necessary
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with licensing board requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Mental Health Counseling or a closely related clinical field from an accredited college or university
  • Active and unrestricted licensure in the state of California as one of the following:
    • LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
    • LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
    • LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as CBT DBT trauma-informed care or similar approaches
  • Excellent communication documentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities
  • Background in outpatient mental health community mental health or private practice
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Experience handling crisis intervention or high-acuity clients
