In Spain Thales Sistemas is specialized in Command and Control systems Tactical Communications and Modeling and Simulation addressing solutions in the domain of Defense and Security. Thales is the Spanish leader in tactical LandCIS (Communication and Information Systems)covering all the product life cycle (design development production ILS). Based in Leganés Thales Sistemas employs a highly specialized workforce of more than 100 people most of them engineers that participate in the following activities:
- Communications and Information Systems (CIS)to support Command function and Decision Making
- Embedded electronics for military aircraft
- Tactical Communications
- Radio Navigation Aids for air traffic
As Definition and IVV Lead you will have assigned the following main tasks:
- Lead generation of system requirements from customer needs and use cases to allow the proper definition of the products to be developed by the company including functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Design and build system architectures based on requirements
- Be in continuous contact with stakeholders and customers
- Prepare technical documentation demos and training materials
- Participate in integration and acceptance tests
- Specify requirements and coordinate the requirements organization structure with the System Architecture of the products to allow a clarity conception of the definition
- Define and generate the test procedures for the proper verification and validation of the system requirements used to define the products
- Coordinate with customers and commercial team to obtain the basics of the product requirements
- Coordinate with the development teams that will develop the product to clarify the exact scope after the execution of the verification and validation.
- Prepare and review technical documentation (architecture designs interfaces integration plans validation protocols) ensuring traceability and compliance and configuration management.
Education:
- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering Electronics Telecommunications Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- You must have fluent English and Spanish level (C1)
Experience level:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the generation of specifications execution of validation and direct customer relations.
Competences:
Technical/functional skills:
- Knowledge of user requirements tools as DOORS
- Knowledge of System Architecture tools as Enterprise Architect
- Excellent technical writing skills to express with precision and clarity customer requirements
- Understand the different development methodologies waterfall and SCRUM.
- Experience in requirements specification system documentation and coordination with engineering teams.
- Experience in planning and managing integration and validation testing in lab environments and in field.
- Relevant certifications related to engineering processes
Other (advantage):
- Experience in Defence and Security Projects.
- Experience/Knowledge in defense product definition.
- SCRUM certification
