Job Summary

VHIR is looking for a Clinical Researcher in Paediatric Leukaemia to join the Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders Group to contribute to initiatives that advance research and innovation in paediatric leukaemia.

Main responsibilities and duties:
  • Coordinate operational activities within the national paediatric leukaemia network (ReALLNet).

  • Manage clinical and biological data flow across participating centres using shared databases and platforms.

  • Support the implementation of functional studies and academic clinical trials in paediatric leukaemia.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between national centres and international expert groups.

  • Contribute to scientific writing grant applications and doctoral research activities.

Education and qualifications:
Required:
  • Degree in Medicine Health Sciences Biomedicine or a related field.

  • Interest in paediatric oncology/haematology and precision medicine research.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (professional proficiency).

Desirable:
  • Additional or specialised training in paediatric haematology-oncology clinical research or translational medicine.

  • Training or experience in clinical data management research coordination or clinical trials.

Experience and knowledge:
Required:
  • Experience in clinical or research activities in paediatric haematology-oncology or a related biomedical field.

  • Knowledge of clinical data management and/or research platforms (e.g. RedCap or similar systems).

  • Capacity to coordinate multiple tasks and work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:
  • Ability to collaborate with national and international clinical and research teams.

  • Interest in developing a PhD within the framework of paediatric leukaemia research.

Labour conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week).

  • Starting date: June 2026.

  • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.

  • Contract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
