The Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the companys various departments ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and mitigating legal risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law excellent analytical and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage global trademark portfolio
- Draft review negotiate and advise on agreements contracts and other legal documents for the business units within the group
- Research evaluate and provide legal advice to the stakeholders on various issues that may arise
- Ensure agreements and operations comply with laws regulations and internal policies
- Manage external parties including but not limited to external counsel agents authorities
- Subject matter expert for legal related issues
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Law or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of working experience either in house or practice
- Admitted to practice in Singapore or a commonwealth
- Proficient in both English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese subsidiaries and vendors
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision respond under tight and multiple deadlines
