Senior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal advisor to senior leadership on strategic and operational matters.

• Draft review and negotiate commercial and technology agreements (SaaS partnerships enterprise customers vendors).

• Advise on data privacy and regulatory compliance including Singapore Personal Data Protection Act and other APAC privacy regulations. 

• Support product launches fintech/payment integrations and cross-border business expansion.

• Manage corporate governance and company secretarial matters including board resolutions director changes and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.

• Work closely with the corporate legal team in Berlin and collaborate with Finance HR and other business functions on legal and compliance matters.

• Conduct legal and compliance training for internal teams and support the implementation of internal policies and best practices.

• Coordinate with external counsel on cross-border legal issues.

Qualifications :

Key Requirements

• Minimum 7-8 years of working experience in a regional corporate legal capacity within a fast-paced fast-evolving and dynamic environment post relevant degree in Law. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the tech industry would be preferred. 

• Successful experience in leading negotiations on complex high value contracts and agreement is a must have. 

• Be able to break down legal advice in simple terms that can be comprehended by business stakeholders who dont have any legal background. 

• Excellent written communication skills in drafting high-value legal documentation which must be clear unambiguous concise and conclusive leaving no room for misinterpretation or manipulation.  

• Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines be proactive and self-motivated have a keen eye for detail and have an ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
