DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Texas Department of Agriculturerequires the services of3 Business Analyst 3 hereafter referred to as Candidate(s) who meets the general qualifications ofBusiness Analyst 3 Applications/Software Developmentand the specifications outlined in this document for theTexas Department of Agriculture.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered works made for hire and are the property of theTexas Department of Agriculture and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law.Texas Department of Agriculturewill pay no fees for interviews or discussions which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Review analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs to document highly complex system requirements.
Develop and maintain highly complex system documents to convey business requirements support efficient system design and uphold quality standards.
Develop test plans and liaise with end users to complete user acceptance testing to validate new and existing system functionality.
Analyze program policies and procedures to determine their effect on automated systems and system functional areas.
Serve as a liaison between business and IT teams by providing consultation documentation and direction on analysis design configuration testing and policy implementation within systems.
Reengineer existing system processes and identify new applications of technology to meet business needs.
Identify and communicate potential risks and difficulties at all stages; propose and design strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
Keep all stakeholders informed through the distribution of project information and project status reports.
Facilitate the service request life cycle through customer-related service request responses business requirements coordinationtechnical specifications and related artifacts review and monitor system integration and user acceptance testing prior to implementation.
Work independently and in coordination with TDA staff as assigned to perform a variety of complicated tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
Perform other duties as assigned.
