We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Litigation Attorney with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our Business and Real Estate Litigation practice. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and an aggressive advocate who can independently manage a robust caseload from inception through trial.

In this role you will handle complex high-stakes disputes involving commercial leases real estate transactions partnership disputes breach of contract quiet title actions business torts and construction law. You will play a pivotal role in driving case strategy and representing clients in court making this an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on a senior role within a growing dynamic firm.

Ideal Candidate:

• Manage a diverse caseload of complex business and real estate litigation matters from pre-litigation analysis through trial and post-trial proceedings.

• Draft review and argue a wide array of complex legal documents including pleadings demurrers motions for summary judgment and pre-trial motions.

• Oversee and execute comprehensive discovery strategies.

• Draft and respond to written discovery manage document productions and handle discovery disputes and motions to compel.

• Take and defend depositions of parties percipient witnesses and expert witnesses.

• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings case management conferences and ex parte applications. Prepare for and advocate effectively in mediations arbitrations and settlement conferences.

• Prepare trial briefs motions in limine exhibit lists and witness examinations.

• Maintain consistent high-level communication with clients. Provide clear strategic legal advice that aligns with the clients commercial and financial objectives.

Requirements:

• Member of the California Bar and in good standing

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

• 510 years of civil litigation experience ideally with a focus on business and/or real estate matters

• General/Professional Liability and Insurance Defense are also strongly considered.

• Exceptional legal research writing and analytical skills. Proven ability to draft persuasive dispositive motions and complex pleadings.

• Substantial experience taking/defending depositions arguing in court and participating in mediations/arbitrations.

• Impeccable professional judgment strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Total Compensation range: $170000 - $230000 Plus Commissions and bonuses

Location:

• El Segundo California

• Remote/Hybrid from day one

• This role is remote with the expectation of occasional in-office presence for trial preparation client meetings or other key in-person activities.
