ResearchAssistant Professor ()
The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences invites application for the position of Research Assistant Professor with experience and publication records in the areas of East-West Cultural Exchanges AI andSustainable Global and Local Development. This research theme investigates the dynamic interactions between East and West focusing on how cultural exchanges contribute to sustainable development driven by AI and disruptive technologies. It explores topics such as cross-cultural dialogue economic and environmental cooperation and the role of cultural diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be housed in one of the academic departments in the Academy of Geography Sociology and International Studies. One will be expected to contribute to department-based teaching apply for external research grants and conduct original research in the above stated areas. Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree or equivalent qualifications with strong potential in research.
The appointees are expected to conduct original research in one or more indicative theme areas outlined below and contribute to department-based teaching. Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree or equivalent qualifications with strong potential in research.
Details of the theme areas and profiles of Academies/Departments are available at: initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing as early as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and funding availability.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
