The Program Officer leads the timely efficient and quality delivery of programs and projects within the thematic portfolio aligned with Save the Childrens Organizational Strategy Plan (OSP). The role covers program design and management fosters strong partnership with government and civil society and drives advocacy and localization efforts to achieve lasting outcomes for children. The role contributes to innovation evidence generation and learning for greater impact and scale.
Requirements
Essential skills knowledge or experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in program or project design delivery and management in the development or humanitarian sector
- Experience working with communities partners and government in implementing multi-sectoral programs
- Strong project and budget management planning monitoring and reporting skills
- Knowledge of child rights gender equality and social inclusion principles.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and partnership-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management tools.
Desirable skills knowledge or experience
- Experience in one or more thematic areas (e.g. education protection health livelihoods resilience).
- Familiarity with MEAL localization and humanitarian programming.
- Experience in advocacy campaigns or public engagement.
- Knowledge of digital tools for project management and reporting.
Required education and qualifications (certifications licenses accreditations etc.)
- Bachelors degree in social sciences Development Studies Public Administration Community Development or a related field
