Description

The Project Manager Clinical Innovation and Implementation is responsible for leading the implementation of Bootle Blast a therapeutic video game designed for pediatric physiotherapy and occupational therapy. The primary objective of the role is to execute a defined implementation plan to enable deployment through hospital library lending models across Canada and support integration into clinical workflows.

Reporting to the Senior Scientist the role focuses on structured project management stakeholder coordination risk mitigation and implementation oversight. While a strong clinical background in occupational therapy and health technology innovation is required the core function of the position is project execution rather than exploratory research or enterprise-wide strategy development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for the Bootle Blast implementation initiative including project charter development scope definition work planning timeline management and milestone tracking
  • Execute the approved grant methodology and ensure deliverables are completed on time within scope and aligned with funding requirements
  • Manage project risks scope changes and resource constraints; develop mitigation strategies to address implementation barriers
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including clinicians research teams family leaders librarians partner sites and funding bodies
  • Lead clinical co-design activities and needs assessments to support integration into pediatric rehabilitation workflows
  • Guide research tools evaluation activities and data collection efforts including interviews surveys and focus groups
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform implementation decisions and continuous improvement efforts
  • Train and support clinicians librarians and technology managers in implementation processes and workflow integration
  • Co-lead Integrated Knowledge Translation (iKT) activities to support adoption and knowledge mobilization
  • Prepare reports presentations manuscripts and implementation updates for stakeholders and funding agencies
  • Advise on product refinement technology readiness and workflow optimization within defined project parameters
  • Contribute to sustainability and commercialization readiness activities within the scope of the approved project

Key Requirements:

Knowledge

  • Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related health discipline (minimum requirement)
  • 45 years of experience working in pediatric rehabilitation
  • 10 years of experience in the clinical technology sector (e.g. implementation product development/consultation)
  • Strong knowledge of implementation science project management methodologies and clinical workflow integration
  • Experience with healthcare technology innovation and commercialization processes
  • Knowledge of research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
