Job & Division Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Design Engineer to join our growing team in this role you will play a key role in developing innovative new industrial products for the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in the design and development of industrial products.
  • Conduct i2V workshops brainstorm ideas and create alternative designs to optimize product performance.
  • Manage the lifecycle of existing products ensuring their continued functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide manufacturing support to our global plants for seamless production processes.
  • Understand and apply global standards to all design projects.
  • Leverage your expertise in mechanical design calculations to optimize product designs.

Mandatory Skills

  • Hands on experience in new development or Life cycle management of subsystems or components used in Industrial products. (Min 4 yrs. of relevant experience.)
  • Strong Proficiency in GD&T and Experience in using ASME Y14.5 drawing requirements for communication with manufacturing leading to smooth production. (Min 4 yrs. of relevant experience.)
  • Expertise in Topdown modelling using Inventor cad tool and PLM system like Windchill SAP or Vault. (min 4 yrs. of relevant experience)

Desired skills

  • Proven record designing industrials or equivalent products for transportation gets you up and running quickly delivering immediate impact.
  • Should have strong knowledge of pneumatic systems pressure vessels and relevant standards like ASME etc.
  • Experience in NPD LCE or VAVE of industrial products used in Transportation industries.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA 5 Why Analysis Design Gate processes and FEA result interpretation to identify and mitigate potential design issues for high-quality products.
  • Expertise PLM system and Expertise in SAP Module.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across locations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Proactive self-motivated with strong prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PPT).
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short durations (as required).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (M.E./MTech not mandatory).
  • Min 3-5 years relevant experience after graduation.
