Job Description
As a Security Guard - Flex Patrol Specialist in Buffalo NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support employees visitors and drivers with clear communication and customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility yard loading dock areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property loss.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points verifying visitor and contractor credentials issuing directions and maintaining visitor delivery and/or key control logs as required.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring truck and trailer traffic observing dock door activity and documenting unusual conditions and/or incidents according to post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
