In Retail Banking the Insurance teams purpose is to protect and grow our customers financial wellbeing. We do this by facilitating access to insurance products for personal commercial and rural purposes.

As a Customer Growth and Retention Specialist you will make your mark by:

  • Proactively identifying and creating new opportunities to protect customers assets
  • Managing inbound customer opportunities via phone and email
  • Seeking outbound opportunities to support and protect more customers
  • Retaining customers considering leaving by demonstrating the value of Bendigo Banks insurance solutions
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to review policies and ensure assets are protected.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the bank and external insurance partners to deepen customer relationships
  • Exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) for both new business acquisition and customer retention
  • Leveraging delegated insurance authority to provide tailored solutions that protect assets and strengthen customer relationships

This is a 12-month Internal Secondment working Full time hours. We offer flexible and hybrid work options that put our people first. Preferred location is Melbourne however open to other locations for the right candidate.

What youll bring to the role

To succeed in this role you will focus on boosting customer involves understanding customer needs in banking and insurance providing customized solutions and increasing the overall amount of business each customer brings in. Wed love you to have:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with customers
  • Banking & Insurance industry knowledge is preferred (distributing banking or insurance products advantageous)
  • Proficiency in LINX system is preferred
  • Customer sales and retention experience
  • FSR Accreditation T2 Deposit Taking & Non-Cash Payment Facilities & General Insurance
  • CGU domestic insurance accreditation (or working towards in role)
