Corporate Infrastructure Services Department

TheCorporate Infrastructure Services Department (CISD)at GIC focuses on maintaining a best-in-class workplace environment that enables employees to perform at their highest potential. Within CISD the Corporate Business Continuity Management & Workplace Security Team ensures GICs operational resilience and business continuity during disruptions while safeguarding the physical safety and security of GICs employees facilities and assets across all global offices.

The Corporate BCM Team Member plays a key role in strengthening GICs ability to prepare for respond to and recover from operational disruptions. This role supports the implementation and maintenance of GICs Operational Resilience framework and BCM programme protecting critical business services and promoting a culture of resilience and readiness across the organisation.

What impact can you make in this role

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) Operational Resilience and Business Continuity will lead and strengthen GICs enterprise-wide Operational Resilience and Business Continuity programmes. This role involves strategic oversight cross-functional coordination and continuous improvement of resilience and BCM capabilities ensuring GIC can maintain operational excellence and protect its people assets and critical services during disruptions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of soft skills enabling them to lead calmly under pressure collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders and communicate with clarity and confidence. They should demonstrate an ownership mindset and operational discipline to strengthen GICs organisational resilience.

What will you do in the Corporate BCM & Workplace Security team

1. Operational Resilience (OR) Framework

  • Implement and maintain the enterprise-wide OR framework aligned with international regulatory expectations and leading industry practices.
  • Identify and map Critical Business Services (CBS) and their dependencies across people technology data facilities and third parties including defining their Impact Tolerances
  • Partner with Operational Risk Management Technology Resilience and Third-Party Risk Management teams to assess vulnerabilities and strengthen resilience across CBS.
  • Design and conduct scenario testing to validate resilience capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.

2. ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)

  • Implement maintain and continuously enhance GICs Business Continuity Policy standards and governance framework.
  • Coordinate and support ISO 22301 certification activities including internal and surveillance audits across global offices.
  • Plan and execute regular BCP testing simulation exercises and recovery drills.
  • Track and manage remediation of findings from audits exercises and incidents.

3. Crisis Management & Incident Response

  • Maintain and enhance the enterprise Crisis Management Framework and playbooks.
  • Provide coordination support to the BCM Working Group (BCMWG) and BCM Steering Committee (BCMSC) during crisis events.
  • Conduct crisis simulations and tabletop exercises across global offices.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement actions.

4. Governance & Training

  • Support management committees in governing the OR and BCM programmes through dashboards key risk indicators (KRIs) and progress updates.
  • Track remediation progress and maintain the resilience maturity roadmap.
  • Promote a strong resilience culture across the organization through engagement and awareness initiatives.
  • Deliver training sessions on OR BCM and related tools.
  • Support regulatory engagement and benchmarking activities where relevant.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role

  • 68 years of experience in BCM Operational Resilience or related fields.
  • Bachelors degree in risk management information systems or a related discipline
  • Experience in a financial institution asset management firm or sovereign wealth fund preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders influence across levels and coordinate effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis management incident response and risk management.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end investment process and / or technology resilience is an advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CBCP MBCI or equivalent preferred.
