Were recruiting a Junior Welder to join a highly respected and technically advanced manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious early-career welder to learn from experienced specialists gain exposure to advanced welding technologies and develop into a highly skilled production welder.
Youll become part of a structured production welding team manufacturing high-precision instrumentation products to exacting quality standards. From day one youll receive hands-on training and ongoing support with exposure to both manual and robotic welding processes.
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than just a job it offers clear progression specialist training (including robotic operator training) and the chance to build a long-term career in a clean modern and technically advanced production environment.
What Youll Be Doing
- Carry out TIG and MIG welding under the guidance of experienced team leaders
- Learn to set up and operate robotic welding cells (full training provided)
- Work with jigs fixtures and manipulators within a structured production line
- Support tacking welding and finishing activities to required quality standards
- Assist with pressure and leak testing processes
- Read and work from technical drawings and job instructions
- Maintain welding bays and equipment to high housekeeping standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
What Were Looking For
- Recently completed a recognised welding or engineering qualification (C&G BTEC HNC or similar)
- Practical TIG and MIG welding capability
- A genuine desire to learn develop and progress within manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Reliable motivated and committed to building a long-term career
- A team player with good communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience welding stainless steel
- Workshop placement or manufacturing experience
- Exposure to production-based environments
