Were recruiting a Junior Welder to join a highly respected and technically advanced manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious early-career welder to learn from experienced specialists gain exposure to advanced welding technologies and develop into a highly skilled production welder.

Youll become part of a structured production welding team manufacturing high-precision instrumentation products to exacting quality standards. From day one youll receive hands-on training and ongoing support with exposure to both manual and robotic welding processes.

This role is ideal for someone who wants more than just a job it offers clear progression specialist training (including robotic operator training) and the chance to build a long-term career in a clean modern and technically advanced production environment.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Carry out TIG and MIG welding under the guidance of experienced team leaders
  • Learn to set up and operate robotic welding cells (full training provided)
  • Work with jigs fixtures and manipulators within a structured production line
  • Support tacking welding and finishing activities to required quality standards
  • Assist with pressure and leak testing processes
  • Read and work from technical drawings and job instructions
  • Maintain welding bays and equipment to high housekeeping standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team

What Were Looking For

  • Recently completed a recognised welding or engineering qualification (C&G BTEC HNC or similar)
  • Practical TIG and MIG welding capability
  • A genuine desire to learn develop and progress within manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
  • Reliable motivated and committed to building a long-term career
  • A team player with good communication skills

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience welding stainless steel
  • Workshop placement or manufacturing experience
  • Exposure to production-based environments
