Position Information:
Location: Hanoi / Hai Phong
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports to: Head of Sales / Branch Manager
Role Purpose:
The Air Freight Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable air freight growth in North Vietnam. The role focuses on developing high-value time-critical cargo segments and building profitable repeatable air volume through integrated logistics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Air Freight Business Development
- Develop new air import & export customers across North Vietnam.
- Target key industries: Electronics Automotive Solar & Energy Garment & Footwear Machinery.
- Build regular weekly/monthly air cargo flow and long-term customer portfolio.
- Ensure profitable gross margin and controlled credit terms.
2. Solution Selling & Product Development
- Design and promote customized air solutions: eco-air express priority hand-carry charter AOG.
- Bundle air freight with customs brokerage domestic trucking and cross-border transport.
- Work closely with operations to ensure service reliability and SOP compliance.
3. Commercial Governance
- Own personal GP and volume targets.
- Maintain pipeline accuracy and sales forecasting.
- Protect margins and avoid rate-driven selling practices.
Requirements:
- 37 years of air freight sales experience in Vietnam.
- Strong airline and agent network.
- Proven track record in solution-based selling.
- Strong negotiation and commercial mindset.
- Fluent English communication skills.
