Position Status: Temporary Full-Time

Co-op Placement Full-time Unpaid (4 months)

Co-op students are reimbursed for business related expenses up to $700 a month during the term of your placement.

Available: May 2026

Description of the Position

As a member of the People and Culture team the Co-op Student People and Culture will assist in delivering a broad range of People and Culture activities while demonstrating a superior level of customer service. They will provide support in the delivery of People and Culture systems and processes and be on the frontlines supporting a variety of projects while being exposed to all key areas within People & Culture (HR) including leading a full-cycle recruitment and assisting with the Annual Review Process.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Assist with recruitment activities which include preparing position profiles posting jobs creating engaging external advertisements screening candidates participate in the interview process and conduct reference checks;
  • Provide assistance during annual performance review process including gathering and compiling data generating reports and analyzing compensation recommendations;
  • Provide administrative support with data input and maintenance within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) where needed;
  • Preparing correspondence reports schedules and other administrative tasks for the People and Culture team;
  • Ensure data integrity of all systems (Payroll Benefits and HRIS); run reports and conduct audits as requested;
  • Support the team in a variety of projects including best practice research and training support;
  • Champion promote develop and encourage a positive health safety and wellness culture;
  • Additional office duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:

  • Enrolled in a University degree or College diploma program within Human Resources Management or equivalent that requires a co-op placement;
  • Previous People and Culture and or administrative experience would be considered an asset;
  • Intermediate/advance competency with various Microsoft 365 Suite products including excel and word;
  • Ability to act with discretion tact and diplomacy;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
  • Superior customer service skills;
  • Able to constantly re-prioritize work in a fast paced service oriented environment;
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills;
  • A collaborative mindset.
