Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Pathology in Syracuse NY

Join a dedicated team at a Hospital-Based Pathology Lab in Syracuse NY where you can make a difference in patient care. This facility experiences a high volume of surgical and cytological specimens and is seeking a Pathologist for a locum coverage period of 3 to 6 months due to a current shortage. Job Responsibilities:

Conduct general anatomic pathology frozen section analysis and cytology.
Manage a surgical pathology volume of approximately 13000 specimens per year.
Oversee cytology analysis with a volume of about 3000 specimens annually.
Perform grossing of specimens independently.
Utilize thinprep methodology and maintain proficiency in GYN cytology.
Collaborate with fellow pathologists and staff in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

AP Board Certified - REQUIRED
Active New York State license - REQUIRED
Self-Query NPDB report required at the time of presentation; must be pulled within the same month as submission - REQUIRED
25k Conversion Fee - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

Active NY State license - REQUIRED
Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology - REQUIRED
