The History Teacher will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons encouraging students to develop critical thinking analytical skills and historical understanding. You will contribute to departmental planning assessment and enrichment initiatives such as History Clubs competitions and themed events.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching History across KS3 GCSE and A Level
Planning and delivering enquiry-based engaging lessons
Monitoring and assessing student progress providing intervention where needed
Supporting enrichment activities and cross-curricular initiatives
Collaborating with colleagues for curriculum development and moderation
QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Degree in History or a related discipline
Experience teaching KS3KS5 History desirable
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Enthusiastic reflective and student-focused
