We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to support French Immersion students at École Broxton Park and École Meridian Heights and possibly other locations if needed. This position will remain open until qualified applicant is hired.
École Broxton Park & École Meridian Heights
This Probationary Full-time (1.0 FTE) role is a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience across multiple French Immersion environments. If you are a recent graduate this position offers the variety mentorship and professional development needed to launch a successful long-term career in education. This role will provide coverage when substitute teachers are unavailable and support short-term medical leaves typically managed through temporary contracts.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide high-quality instruction and support for students one-on-one in small groups or in full classrooms.
Collaborate with teachers principals and support staff to ensure continuity of learning and student success.
Implement differentiated instruction and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Supervise students safely during classroom activities outdoor learning and field trips.
Help students grow academically socially and personally in a welcoming French-speaking environment.
Qualifications:
Fluency in French and English (both oral and written).
Bachelor of Education and a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
Enthusiasm flexibility and a genuine love of learning alongside students.
A commitment to supporting First Nations Métis and Inuit students and leading educational change for meaningful reconciliation.
A desire to grow within a mentored team environment.
