The Role

Design and detailing of air cooled heat exchangers involving mechanical design and fabrication details by performing the following duties.

What you will be responsible for:

Detail air-cooled heat exchangers for shop fabrication.
Prepare shop detail drawings including bundle assemblies plenums columns ladders and platforms.
Communicate with mechanical design engineers and shop personnel.
General knowledge of welded steel fabrication practices.
Drafting skills 3D assembly and part modeling 2D parts drawings and flat patterns
Computer skills must include Windows and Microsoft Office.
Familiar with American Petroleum Institute 661.
Familiar with OSHA requirements regarding walkways handrails stairs and equipment guards.
Regular attendance ability to arrive at work punctually ability to work onsite ability to work overtime.
Ability to work cooperatively with others ability to deal respectfully with the public customers vendors other employees managers and executive management.
Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently ability to work in a fast-paced environment ability to interchange with others in the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

Must have a minimum of either:

High School Diploma or GED Certification with Fundamentals and Principles of CAD Design classes and a minimum of three (3) years experience in heat exchanger and/or structural steel drafting;

Associates degree in CAD Drafting and Design with a minimum of one (1) year experience in structural steel fabrication drafting.
