Job Summary

Job Summary:

This position is for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) to work in a pediatric specialty outpatient clinic. The MA-C will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks including taking vital signs preparing patients for exams collecting specimens performing laboratory tests and handling office duties. There is a possibility of floating to another clinic location and a potential opportunity for permanent placement.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:

- Obtain vital signs including height weight pulse oximetry and manual blood pressures.
- Record patient history medications and allergies.
- Collect urine specimens for UA/clean catch.
- Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis.
- Prepare charts and stock supplies.
- Schedule appointments.
- Make follow-up phone calls.
- Room patients.
- Assist with various pediatric specialties including Urology Nephrology Metabolic/endocrine/nutrition Orthopedic and General Surgery.
- Room patients for 1-2 providers approximately 15 patients per provider.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active MA-C certification in the state of WA.
- BLS certification.
- At least 6 months of experience working as an MA.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience working in a Pediatric Outpatient Clinic.
Special Considerations:

- Must have reliable transportation (not public transportation) to float between clinics if needed.
- No additional scheduling restrictions.
- Facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks).
Scheduling:
- 5x8hr Days 0800-1630 (Mon-Fri)
- No weekends or holidays
- No on-call responsibilities
- Occasional floating to the Issaquah clinic on an as-needed basis.
