About Client: Mid size PE backed pharma company having 350cr annual sales
Position Summary
Responsible for driving API business growth in European markets through new customer acquisition relationship management product positioning and regulatory-commercial coordination. Focus on securing new projects increasing revenue and expanding presence with innovators generics and distributors in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales and BD strategies for Europe markets for API portfolio
• Identify qualify and onboard new customers (innovators generic companies distributors)
• Manage end-to-end BD cycle: lead generation to commercial closure
• Track opportunities inquiries and proposals; ensure timely follow-ups
• Drive customer RFQs price negotiations and contract finalization
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams – RA QA Supply Chain Production & Finance
• Monitor tender updates regulatory status and compliance requirements for EU markets
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
• Ensure achievement of annual sales targets and margin objectives
• Represent the company in international conferences exhibitions and customer visits as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
• Bachelor’s in Science/Pharmacy; MBA preferred
• 8–12 years of experience in API sales/BD focused on Europe market
• Strong understanding of EU regulatory landscape (CEP DMF GMP compliance)
• Experience handling key European customers and distributors
• Proven track record in API commercial negotiations and business closures
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in CRM and MS Office
Preferred Competencies
• Existing customer network in Europe
• Ability to work independently and drive results
• Willingness for international travel
