Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex - Petrochemical in Chicago IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff contractors and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas warehouses tank farm perimeters and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards such as leaks spills and equipment concerns and report findings per post orders.
- Monitor access control points by verifying identification issuing visitor credentials managing vehicle and pedestrian entry and/or exit and directing individuals to designated check-in and staging areas in accordance with site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms medical events fire indications and/or process upsets and coordinate notifications to site contacts and public responders as directed.
- Complete timely documentation including daily activity reports incident reports and patrol logs and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives during shift change.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
