Position: Teacher Elementary Summer Literacy Academy (22 openings)

9 Kindergarten Teachers
4 First Grade Teachers
4 Second grade Teachers
5 Third grade Teachers

Reports to: Elementary Summer Literacy Academy Principals Director of Student Learning and Literacy

Supervises: None

Qualifications:

Hold a current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood or Elementary Education or Reading
Specialist certificate.
Completed LETRS or IMSE Orton-Gillingham training to teach 1st-3rd grade Literacy Academy.
Satisfy all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Position Goals: To provide intensive remediation in reading to Kindergartenthrough Third grade students.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Plan a program of study that meets the individual reading needs of the students.
Provide individual and/or small group instruction using specific intervention materials.
Monitor progress and maintain tracking documents to show growth.
AdministerAmira Reading or Literacy First Assessment at end of the program.

Terms of Employment: Jenks Public Schools Temporary Assignment Contract - June 1 - June 25 2026; Monday-Thursday 8:30am -12:30pm. **Dates subject to change pending Board approval of last day of school.

Compensation: Stipend - $2250.00

*RequiredSummer Program in-service trainings will be conducted for staff prior to the program starting date; Dates and times TBD.
