Position Status: Co-op Placement Full-time Unpaid (4 months);
The term co-op refers to students who are enrolled in a co-op program in which work experience is a mandatory requirement for graduation. Co-op students are reimbursed for business related expenses up to $700 a month during the term of your placement.
Available: May 2026 to August 2026
Description of the Position:
The Co-op Activation student will be an active participant in a fast-paced fundraising team and will be responsible for supporting the Core Corporate Partnership Team and Community Partnerships through activations. The Coop will report directly to the Manager Activation.
You will:
- Assist Relationship Managers with various tasks to support spring activities and plan for upcoming event and campaigns;
- Assist with general administrative duties including mass mailings filing file maintenance copying mail/couriers and ordering of supplies;
- Support campaign activities and events to help increase donor engagement;
- Participate in store and event site visits;
- Assist in donor stewardship projects (e.g. collateral management and fulfilling requests completing thank you calls calling partners to see how campaigns are going etc.);
- Prepare donor correspondence and communications to support and cultivate relationships with Corporate Partners donors and stakeholders;
- Participate in scripted partner weekly calls when required;
- Assist in documenting call reports;
- Provide additional support to the other Coordinators on the Corporate Partnership team;
- Organize and collect collateral and other supplies for Corporate Partnership and Community Partnership teams (this may include tasks that occasionally require lifting 20lbs);
- Additional office duties and projects as required.
Qualifications:
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- Working towards a bachelors degree or diploma preferably in fundraising business administration marketing or community development;
- Knowledge of and experience with relational databases;
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills;
- Discretion tact diplomacy and attention to detail;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize work;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work;
- Interest and/or experience in corporate partnerships experiential marketing and fundraising;
- Works well under pressure while juggling several competing priorities;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
