What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests shoppers tenants and client representatives by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls lost children reports and property damage notifications.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout common areas interior corridors parking lots and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Perform access control and observe visitor traffic at designated entrances service corridors and loading areas in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor and operate security-related systems such as CCTV and alarm panels when assigned and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Provide visible presence and customer assistance including giving directions helping reunite parties and de-escalating conflicts when possible.
• Complete detailed incident reports shift logs and patrol documentation and promptly report hazards suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support tenant and property management requests when appropriate including escorts after-hours checks and coordination with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Enforce site-specific rules and policies in a professional manner including addressing loitering unauthorized access and prohibited behaviors in public areas.
• Participate in required training briefings and post inspections and follow Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for radio use uniform standards and confidentiality.

Minimum Requirements:

• - A guard card/license is preferred.
• - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• - As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• - As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• - A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
