HR Manager (Generalist) Hull / East Yorkshire

Location: Hull area with regular travel to other local sites
Working pattern: Mainly on-site 1 day WFH per week
Salary: Up to 45000 benefits
Contract: Permanent full-time

What youll be doing

Strategic HR leadership

  • Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategy with commercial goals
  • Use people data and metrics to inform decision making
  • Support organisational design and workforce planning across sites

Talent acquisition & onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across operational and technical roles
  • Manage agency relationships and hiring manager partnerships
  • Design and deliver structured onboarding programmes

Employee engagement & culture

  • Drive initiatives that improve engagement wellbeing and retention
  • Promote a positive inclusive culture across multiple locations
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from start to finish

Performance & development

  • Oversee appraisals goal setting and performance frameworks
  • Coach managers on difficult conversations and development planning
  • Coordinate statutory and professional training requirements

ER policy & compliance

  • Provide expert ER advice on grievances disciplinaries and conflict resolution
  • Maintain HR policies handbook and contractual documentation
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice

About you

Youll suit this role if you are confident hands-on and comfortable working across several sites in a male-dominated engineering environment.

Essential

  • CIPD Level 3 (Level 5 preferred or in progress)
  • Proven experience across the full employee lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of employment law recruitment and performance management
  • Experience writing and implementing HR policies
  • Confident communicator at all levels
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Comfortable visiting sites and working closely with operations teams
  • Resilient organised and able to juggle priorities
